As announced by the Veneto regional councilor, Sergio Berlato, the Honorable Maria Cristina Caretta has presented a Bill to the Chamber of Deputies which imposes sanctions on those who want to intentionally prevent the exercise of hunting and piscatoria or puts in place acts of obstruction or disturbance from which it can be disturbed or interrupted regular hunting or fishing activities or harass hunters or fishermen in the course of their activities.
The parent company of the Brothers of Italy in the Regional Council then added: “Hunting and fishing, as Mr Caretta stated, are activities regulated by national and European regulations. With this Bill we want to confirm the principle according to which, in a state of law, no one can oppose or hinder lawful activities to exercise which honest citizens pay hefty government and regional license fees.
The Constitutional Court, with reference to the law number of 2017 approved by Veneto Regional Council on my initiative, it sanctioned that anyone who voluntarily prevents lawful activities jeopardizes the “orderly and civil coexistence in the national community. The behaviors are attributable to the matter of public order and safety. Zero tolerance therefore towards those small minorities of animal rights activists that with attacks that are sometimes verbal, but often also physical, they would like to impose their fundamentalist convictions on others ”.
