The protest of the hunters
There is no doubt that the great manifestation of protest of the hunters organized in Venice on 30 September by the Association for Rural Culture and all the Associations that have joined its cultural project, including the Confederation of Italian Hunting Associations, the Venetian Hunters Association, the Foundation for Rural Culture, Federfauna, has produced a series of positive results which, briefly, we are going to list.
The results produced
1) The delegation of the representatives of the associations promoting the great event in Venice, also in light of the large participation of demonstrators, was welcomed at the headquarters of the Veneto regional council and, after having explained the reasons for the protest, asked the council itself to issue a new resolution to restore the two supplementary days for stalking hunting for migratory game in the period between October and November. THIS REQUEST WAS ACCEPTED BY THE REGIONAL COUNCIL WHICH GIVEN GUARANTEES THAT THE RESOLUTION WOULD BE PREPARED AND THAT IT WOULD BE APPROVED WITHIN THE NEXT WEEK.
2) The great event in Venice forced the leaders of all the other hunting associations in the Veneto to regroup to run for cover in an attempt to silence the growing dissent that is mounting among its members who no longer recognize themselves in inertia and inability of its managers.
3) In an attempt to deflate the great demonstration in Venice on September 30th, obeying the orders of their political masters who did not like to be challenged in public, some hunting leaders circulated messages on social networks warning the hunters that it was it is useless to demonstrate in front of the headquarters of the regional council but that a large demonstration would have been organized on Tuesday 11 October in front of the headquarters of the Regional Administrative Court of Veneto.
4) Given the unquestionable success of the Venice demonstration on September 30, the leaders of the associations belonging to the phantom control room made a shameful U-turn stating that their large protest demonstration would no longer be held in front of the headquarters of the TAR of Veneto but in another not better defined locality.
5) Given the poor parade, but above all fearing not to be able to bring to the square a number of demonstrators higher than those who took to the streets on September 30th, the executives of the hunting associations belonging to the control room, to which they queued to have a shred of visibility, the managers of some associations that have a representativeness equivalent to a telephone area code, have decided to make a further U-turn, obtorting the idea of the great demonstration in the square and falling back on a simple and inconclusive conference that held on Tuesday 11 October in a room of a Treviso hotel authorized to hold no more than 300 people.
Important questions
In light of all this, we ask these managers of the hunting associations that are part of the phantom control room:
a) Don't you think that you have largely exceeded the limit of ridicule with your sudden changes of direction and decision?
b) what do you lock yourself up to do in the cramped meeting room of the Treviso Hotel if the regional council has already prepared the new resolution requested and obtained by the managers and hunters who took to the streets in Venice on 30 September ?;
c) how do you intend to prepare the defensive arguments to prevent the Veneto Regional Administrative Court, during the hearing scheduled for November 30th, further penalize the hunting activity in Veneto following the challenge of that hunting calendar 2022/2023 which you hunting managers who are part of the phantom control room have you suggested to the Veneto regional council?
We hope that you will be able to provide adequate answers to these timely questions of ours, not so much to give us an account of your work but to give an account to those of your associates who for many years have financed you in vain with their membership cards!
