The collection target set by theConero Park Authority for the period August 2019-July 2020 of 150-200 animals taken, 316 were made (traps included). According to the Park Authority, sightings of wandering wildlife, including wild boars, reported by residents in recent months are to be considered a direct consequence of the limitation of human activities. The Park has enhanced the warning systems for motorists of the danger of the presence of wandering fauna along the most critical stretches of the road network and has installed dissuasion systems to the crossing of nocturnal fauna in coincidence with the approach of vehicles.
They have been installed 233 optical bollards (reflectors), 229 lane markers (reflectors facing out of the road) and 23 wildlife crossing warning signs. Finally, the awareness campaign was carried out "I am the Park" for a more aware, careful and prudent driving within a protected area.
