His name was Nathan Labolani, the nineteen year old resident of Apricale, in the province of Imperia, shot in the abdomen, killed this morning in a hunting accident, while walking in the countryside with his dog. Fatal was the 300 Magnum caliber shot that reached him in the abdomen, shot by a 29-year-old hunter from Ventimiglia, who fired by mistake. The man, under investigation for manslaughter, allegedly mistook the boy for prey. The ogive pierced an arm and stuck in the belly, causing the young unfortunate victim very serious internal injuries and a hemorrhage that proved fatal.
Everything happened in a few moments, while two teams of hunters, one from Camporosso and the other from Perinaldo, were participating in a wild boar hunt in the Rio Merdanzo area. Carabinieri, Fire Brigade, Alpine Rescue, 118 health personnel and the Blue Cross arrived on the spot.

The Cuneo helicopter rescue was also alerted, which transferred the medical team directly to the place, which was very inaccessible, but it did nothing: the attempts to revive the 19-year-old were useless, the young man died shortly after their arrival. The Carabinieri investigate the case.
