THEACMA (Association of Aquatic Migrant Hunters) updated the situation regarding avian influenza anduse of live calls. Two weeks ago the Ministry of Health hosted an international conference on this pathology and was attended by experts of different nationalities. The hunting world was instead represented by Michele Sorrenti, scientific manager of theFedercaccia Bird Migration Office, and by Stefano Simeoni, national councilor of the same ACMA.
The aim of the event was to deepen the various knowledge, taking into account the presence of the representatives of theExperimental Zooprophylactic Institute of the Venezie. We talked about the health, epidemiological and economic aspects of avian. The concept repeatedly reiterated concerned the responsibility of rural farms as regards the passage of the virus.
Live calls from hunters, on the other hand, were never cited and responses to their involvement in the spread of the flu were not mentioned. neither convinced nor categorical. The time has not yet come to make positive announcements (it is the Ministry of Health that decides which and how many changes to make to the bans), but there is no lack of signs of hope. ACMA ensured the continuous and timely updating of the situation.
