The additional opinion requested fromHigher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) has opened a small window for Tuscan hunters. The order of the Council of State which partially accepted the animal rights appeal has shocked the hunting world, meanwhile Arci Caccia Tuscany he wanted to thank the Region with an official statement.
Here is what the association wrote: “We can only thank the Councilor Remaschi and the staff of the technical offices for having taken action very quickly. We had requested prompt action to try to to remedy the problems caused by the decision of the Council of State and we were satisfied. Now, we are waiting for the situation to clear up, confident that the reasons of the hunters will be able to find satisfaction ”. The species for which the Council of State has imposed the modification of the hunting calendar:
Merlo: closing of the hunt from 18 December 2018
Hooded Crow, Jay, Magpie: closing of the hunt from January 17th 2019 (January 16th last day of hunting)
Teal, Garganey and Mallard: closing of the hunt from January 17th 2019 (January 16th last day of hunting)
Wood pigeon: closing of the hunt from January 17th 2019 (January 16th last day of hunting)
Woodcock: closing of the hunt from 11 January 2019 (10 January last day of hunting)
