Arci Caccia Avellino organizes the conference on "Hunting and zoonoses", in Bisaccia on 20 March 2014.
The term zoonosis means any infectious disease that can be transmitted from animals to humans, directly (in contact with the skin, hair, eggs, blood or secretions) or indirectly (through other vector organisms or ingestion of infected food). On the initiative of the Arci Caccia di Avellino and in particular of its vice president Francesco Celano, in his capacity as veterinarian, a conference was organized on “hunting and zoonosis: the risks for hunters”. The initiative will be held on Thursday 20 March at 18.30 pm in Bisaccia at the Ducal Castle. The conference will be moderated by prof. Giuseppe Cringoli, full professor of parasitology and parasitic diseases of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Production University of Naples Federico II.
Speakers will include: Dr. Francesca Di Prisco, head of the Avellino section of the experimental prophylactic zoo institute of the Mezzogiorno; dr. Nicola D'Alessio, veterinary director Avellino section, experimental prophylactic zoo institute of the South; prof. Vincenzo Veneziano, researcher of parasitology of farm animals of the department of veterinary medicine and animal production, Federico II University of Naples; prof. Diego Piantedosi, researcher in medical clinic of the department of veterinary medicine and animal production, University of Naples Federico II; dr. Raffaele Maffucci,, veterinary surgeon, councilor of Sips Avellino.
