The president of Arcicaccia dismisses all the accusations of the former Minister Brambilla, recalling that even the hunters' taxes contribute to the salary of the honorable member; "Brambilla, Money on the Hunt, but what movie did the honorable member see?"
The National President of Arci Caccia, Osvaldo Veneziano, with his own press release replies to the proposal of the deputy Michela Vittoria Brambilla who with a parliamentary question presented yesterday, Thursday 11 July, it intends to eliminate the public contributions that the state pays to hunting associations.
The Venetian president says ironically, “It is true that the heat, especially in Rome, is unbearable and can make bad jokes so much so that doctors advise against going out in the hot hours and that the sun can justify everything, however…. we allow ourselves some considerations on the former Minister's requests which, coincidentally, coincide with the ideas of the extremists of the hunting world, his party colleagues. We are talking, for example, of politicians who ask for exceptions to shoot micro - birds, of those who hate even the most responsible hunting associations and with whom "BirdLife" also signs hunting agreements ".
"In summary - he continues - we feel we can respond to the accusations by reiterating that it is false to say that the associations receive the money of the Italian taxpayers, indeed it is the hunters themselves who pay the government concession fees, the regional ones and registration fees to the territorial areas and to finance the hunting associations with an 'additional' (which is paid only by hunters) that the State collects and which, sometimes and in our opinion improperly, retains as do many Regions which, due to the crisis, allocate the regional tax funds to other purposes of common interest such as health care ".
“The Table on the availability of the Fund recalled by Micaela Brambilla, usually at the 'CAP. 2827 ', is attached to the annual budget maneuver and I believe, it should be known at least to the Italian parliamentarians. I believe that the allocation in place this year is about one million and 600 thousand euros for all associations and concerns fees relating to the year 2010. This funding is divided according to the members who, to be counted for the purposes of disbursements, must necessarily be communicated to the Ministry of Agricultural Policies ".
“Speaking of controls - underlines Osvaldo Veneziano -, the documentation, the budget, the insurance contract, the certification of the members are officially filed with the Ministry itself and available at the hunting associations' offices for inspections. The disbursements take place only after careful checks; in fact, other 'suspensions' are envisaged in addition to the one that Michela Brambilla herself refers to in the question. In fact, when funds were allocated to associations that did not have the requisites, the judiciary's controls intervened and the disbursements were blocked ”.
“As far as we are concerned, we publish the number of our members Region, by Region, every year. Throughout Italy our offices are clubs, small offices, 'warehouses and basements' of which we are proud, our 'bureaucratic systems' (we do not know in which film they were seen) throughout Italy do not reach twenty people, including to which the undersigned (my Single Model is available) - who mostly work with part-time contracts and co.co.co. Without forgetting, an element that most displeases the Honorable Member, the hundreds and hundreds of wonderful volunteers who also carry out environmental and zoophilic surveillance, civil protection, fire prevention, environmental restoration, anti-poaching for free and at the service of citizens ”.
“As for the situation, please do not ask us. If a new law has not been made overnight, it is not us who legislate on the matter but you and your parliamentary colleagues, paid by the citizens, if they are good, should develop rules that are not sanctioned. This is what the Italians are asking and we are among them. And it is for these purposes that taxpayers hope that annuities and salaries will be paid to European and Italian parliamentarians, to regional councilors: so that when they write a rule it applies to everyone and is not contradictory. But maybe that's too much to ask ”.
“Does the honorable Brambilla - concludes the Venetian president - use hunting to“ blend in ”, to escape the widespread criticism of a certain way of doing politics? We do not follow it in a sterile controversy. We believe in the intelligence of citizens who yesterday as today were able to discern sincere animalism in order to reject the other who always and in any case failed ”.
