BIG, single intervention number, means the practice that authorizes a containment intervention against a wild animal pursuant to ART 37 of law 3/94. This acronym has now become familiar to the majority of Tuscan hunters and farmers, who are daily engaged in the struggle aimed at mitigate the damage produced by wild animals to agricultural crops. Well, if there is no regional policy intervention, these authorizations will expire in full with the stroke of midnight on December 31st.
This would leave the farmers totally helpless and it would disarm the many volunteers who daily engage in wildlife management operations. We know that the Region should take action, ISPRA permitting, to this problem in the meeting of the Executive scheduled for January 7th.
Ma Arci Caccia asks the Region for a further effort, that of taking action also during these days of celebration to ensure that no period of stop occurs to the possibility of promptly intervening wherever damage situations occur. The sustainability of the ATC budgets and maintaining the respectful behavior that we hunters owe to those who work to guard the territory in which we carry out our favorite activity.
