Assoarmeri, representing the Italian gunsmiths, has been engaged for weeks in strengthening the dialogue with the institutions so that the retail stores can reopen, with the launch of the 2 phase, together with the restart of all outdoor activities, which include shooting disciplines and those preparatory to hunting. The health emergency linked to the coronavirus, like what is happening in other sectors, it is profoundly marking the social economic and productive fabric that revolves around various economic systems, including that of hunting and sport shooting, as well as of the commercial activities connected to them. Assoarmieri, together with ANPAM, has promptly highlighted in recent days to the Ministry of Economic Development the need to include armories among the functional activities for the industrial activities of the sector that can reopen with phase 2, to allow the resumption of training of professional athletes of the various shooting federations.
To be close to all gunsmiths in this preparatory phase for the restart of the sector, Assoarmieri has drawn up a safety Vademecum, in order to accompany the safe reopening of the armories: it is a short document that collects the main sanitation measures and distancing, as well as some practical indications to guide merchants to organize the access and exit procedures of customers, through a safe path. The Vademecum represents a general guideline based on the existing legislation and, obviously, it cannot be considered exhaustive of all security measures to be implemented in armories to counter the spread of Covid - 19.
Further preventive measures may be adopted by the gunsmiths on the basis of the specific Regional Ordinances governing the matter, which are in the process of being issued. Therefore, all of them the information contained in the document they will be constantly updated, as far as possible, on the basis of future regulations on the matter and communicated to all armories.
On the Italian territory there are over 1.200 stores specialized in hunting and sport shooting and are part of a sector that represents absolute excellence nationally and internationally, with over 7 billion of direct and indirect value, 2334 companies and 87 employees and which, therefore, plays a central role in the country's economic recovery. As gunsmiths, we are ready to face this challenge, to start again with conviction following all the precautions of the case, with the great sense of responsibility that already characterizes this sector and the people who are part of it. here is the link in which to deepen the vademecum.
