Important news for hunting proposed by the Regional Councilor for Hunting, Stefano Mai, approved today by the Regional Council of Liguria. “We have chosen to make changes that will allow us to support the activity of hunting, both as a passion and recreational playful activity, and as a fundamental tool for safeguarding the territory”, explains Councilor Mai.
“First of all, the limits of days for selection hunting have been abolished. Another important point is the introduction of the deduction of hunting days carried out in agri-tourism hunting companies, from the overall calculation of the days available for the week. As for hunting in the SPA (Special Protection Areas) scheduled for January, we have brought the two days of activities allowed by law, from fixed (Saturday and Sunday), to your choice, so they can also be enjoyed on the other days. weekly, except Tuesday and Friday.
With regard to temporary hunting stalks set up in private but accessible land, the possibility of setting up has been introduced except when this is denied with a specific written communication from the owner of the land ".
“The introduction of the reduced amount for penalties in case of hunting beyond the hourly limit was also very important. Basically we have introduced a principle of graduality and common sense. For the first 30 minutes following the deadline, for those caught in the hunt, the penalty will be between 10 and 60 euros ".
