A few days ago theExperimental Zooprophylactic Institute of the Venezie confirmed that a wild wigeon found dead in Grade, in the province of Gorizia, tested positive for thebird flu. The analyzes also highlighted how the disease is characterized by high pathogenicity. Already in November and early December the Ministry of Health had intervened with some provisions relating to the strengthening of veterinary supervision.
In fact, the cases have been found in many European countries and the circulation of the virus has not left us calm right away: in particular, 498 episodes of contagion were found, 247 of which can be linked to wild birds. Hunters were called upon to play an important role, as explained by FACE, however, now there has been a new provision by the same Ministry of Health.
On December 30th they were enacted extraordinary control measures: the derogation from the ban on the use of live calls in the national hunting activity was suspended immediately, therefore the calls that are part of the orders of the anseriforms e charadriforms while hunting.
