With a decree signed today, Friday 30 November 2018, the Vice President of Veneto Region, Gianluca Forcolin, extended the temporary ban on hunting to 13 December 2018, limited to 17 municipalities of the province of Belluno. The decision was taken in consideration of the permanence of the state of extreme gravity of the situation after the devastating wave of bad weather at the end of October, with reference to some specific areas of the province of Belluno, on compliant indication of the Regional Crisis Unit.
The ban on hunting throughout the Veneto region, limited to a distance of 13 meters, has also been extended until 500 December. The decision will eventually provoke the reaction of hunting associations who have long been asking the Veneto Region for clarity on this very topic.
