The extension decided by the Veneto region as regards the hunting ban in the province of Belluno has brought the immobility of the two-shotguns until next November 29th. The decision has been made due to bad weather that affected these areas: specifically, these are the municipalities of Canale d'Agordo, Colle di Santa Lucia, Gosaldo, Livinallongo del Col di Lana, Rivamonte Agordino, Rocca Pietore, Taibon Agordino and Voltago Agordino, Auronzo di Cadore, Perarolo di Cadore, Lorenzago di Cadore, San Pietro di Cadore, Vigo di Cadore and Pieve di Cadore.
Among other things, hunters will not be able to take up the rifle also because of the operations that are carried out in this period for the cleaning of the woods. In addition to the extension of the time date, we must not forget the respect and safety band which is equal to 500 meters in relation to the areas affected by adverse weather conditions. The Province of Belluno has the right to propose any further restrictions on hunting, to be implemented with a subsequent decree of the president of the regional council.
The President of the Region also gives the Mayors the faculty to arrange, with their own ordinance, further temporary prohibitions on hunting - also in expansion to the areas identified with today's decree - where it is necessary to guarantee adequate safety for the operators involved in the operations of felling logs, removal, restoration of roads and municipal connections.
