The process of revising and unifying the regulations of the Regional reserves of the Marshes of Fucecchio and Sibolla Lake. In recent months, the Tuscany Region has undertaken a process of reviewing the management regulations of the protected area of Marshes of Fucecchio and the protected area of Lake Sibolla, including the related contiguous areas, in order to arrive at a new unitary management regulation. There Confederation of Tuscan Hunters e ACMA Tuscany they immediately went to monitor this decision-making process in order to identify any critical issues and to put forward a whole series of proposals regarding environmental management and hunting activities; also on the basis of the assessments that emerged from the users of these wet areas.
Our proposals for amendments and additions to the draft of the new regulation were preliminarily presented in "Comparison Table of the Natural Reserve System of the Fucecchio Marshes and Sibolla Lake" and in the “Regional Technical Consultation for Protected Areas and Biodiversity” by Prof. Natale Emilio Baldaccini, receiving generally positive feedback. This will be followed by a detailed report that will be submitted to the attention of this table and the Department of the Environment.
The CCT and ACMA Toscana will continue to work so that this process of unification of the regulations is an opportunity to improve the management methods of these marshy areas, without unnecessary penalties to the hunting activity that has proven itself over the years compatible with conservation needs and essential for proper environmental management of these areas.
