I Five stars they try again. Yesterday, with the presentation of the bill on the protection of animals, among the many innovations introduced, the abolition of theart. 842 of the civil code which, as known, allows hunters to enter private land for hunting purposes. An ancient battle ridden several times by anti-huntsmen and in the past unfortunately also supported by some political forces of the first Republic and which was even the subject of a referendum. A pitfall that the Italian hunting world has been able to avert up to now but which has always remained lit in the hopes and wills of a large part of the radical environmental and animal rights world and not only…
Today, the five stars are once again champions of a proposal that aims to subvert the foundations of a regulated hunt in the public interest by introducing the ax of further heavy consequences on rights also introducing economic sicknesses against the hunting world. There is therefore a direct and frontal attack on social hunting! With the excuse of a provision on the protection of animals, an attempt is made to introduce real cultural and conceptual upheavals. The idea is to make the animal directly become the object of protection and no longer the man emotionally or sentimentally tied to the same.
A real reversal that even risks putting the animal at the center of man and his activities. A bill that also brings other aspects as a dowry and which risks producing absolutely disproportionate consequences from the point of view of sanctions, both of an administrative and criminal nature. To all this no turns of words are admissible. The time has come for the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters to put facts and politics into play. It will be necessary to prevent this unacceptable orchestration in Parliament first, and then in society. The time has come to judge the behavior and not just the statements of individual parliamentarians and political forces in a delicate phase of the electoral campaign.
Not a vote to the bearers and supporters of this proposal and of this culture. No support for those who remain in the shadows. To date, even the quarrels between Cinque Stelle and Lega seem more like a smokescreen to hide the flaws of a majority where the former seem to dictate the agenda. We will not accept the attempt to combine a regulated and constitutionally recognized hunting with the concept of violence against animals. “No Dorma”! At stake is not just hunting but a vision of society. On this there is no neutral ground even for politics; Either you are on one side or the other. The hunters will then judge in the polls.
