In the last hours the Third Commission for Productive Activities, Culture, Training and Work of the Liguria Region, chaired by Andrea Costa (Liguria Popolare), expressed a favorable opinion on the proposed regional hunting calendar as regards the 2019-2020 season. Among the novelties of the next season it is necessary to underline the three-week postponement of the start of the wild boar hunting: the hunting activity for this species will begin on 6 October and will end on 6 January while in the previous years the start was set in mid-September and end in mid-December.
"I am very satisfied that it has been accepted, in large part, the proposal that I had advanced, through an agenda in which I asked that the wild boar hunt take place between November 31st and January XNUMXst - Costa explained. It is a common sense proposal to combine the needs of the hunting world and of those who, at the end of summer and in the first weeks of autumn, still frequent our woods.
The vegetation, which remains dense in September and October, does not allow good visibility and, therefore, can represent a risk for hikers, tourists and for anyone, even for sporting purposes, travels paths of our hinterland. The change included in the next hunting calendar represents a first step to ensure greater safety for everyone ".
