It is impossible to respond in any other way to the letter of Mr. Alessandro Maria Fucili and his family, who despite the disgraceful act of which they were victims on their property in Osimo, in the Marche region, turned to Federcaccia not to accuse, as he allegedly could and others would have done, a whole category of people, but to seek with great balance, and for this we thank him, an explanation, if there can ever be an explanation, to a gesture that has nothing to do with hunting, but not even with the behavior of any human being who defines himself as such.
It is difficult, indeed impossible, to find words that are not of firm condemnation against those who shot for no reason a few meters from a house against a dog, a 9-year-old female German shepherd named Queena, leaving him seriously injured, abandoning him without help. and running away to escape their responsibilities.
We can only agree with Mr. Fucili when in his letter and in the phone call with the National President Gian Luca Dall'Olio who hastened to get in touch with him, he said he was worried, and so did we, to know that there are subjects who indulge in such behavior which, he writes, "I believe, is clearly different from the vast majority of people who practice hunting".
A behavior that, we repeat, receives all our firmest condemnation without which, again citing Mr. Rifles who, despite the situation he is experiencing, almost paradoxically has words of attention for us, "no one will be able to distinguish between virtuous hunters and respectful of the rules and other people's lives, and between dangerously irresponsible subjects ".
“I am convinced - concludes Rifles - that there are many capable and responsible hunters, and few criminals who are dangerous for others. But the distinction between the two groups must be clear to everyone! ”.
Also in this we agree with him, and so that ours do not sound only like empty and free words of solidarity, we guarantee to Mr. Fucili and his family that our guards and our local leaders will give all possible contribution to the police because the ongoing investigations identify as soon as possible the author of this ignoble gesture that casts a shadow over all hunters, so that he can answer for his actions and fully assume his responsibilities.
