The Provincial Federcaccia section of Imola in collaboration with the Territorial Area of Hunting Bologna BO2 organized for Friday 9 October at 18 pm at the Molino Rosso hotel in Imola, the conference dedicated to the theme of “A conservative hunting wildlife management”.
Dr. Silvano Toso will open and moderate the proceedings, followed by the interventions of Dr. Maria Luisa Zanni, Dr. Roberto Mazzoni della Stella and Dr. Marco Zaccheroni.
Among the topics that will be addressed, an analysis of the environmental, hunting and management causes underlying the current state of difficulty of small sedentary game; the dangers currently facing the social management of hunting in Italy, the only EU country to have such a discipline; the hypothesis of a districting of the hunting activity in relation to small sedentary game as it has already been successfully implemented in relation to ungulates (roe deer and wild boar); an analysis of the District of small sedentary game, with its characteristics and advantages: suitable environment for small sedentary game; an ideal size for a correct management of small sedentary game.
We will also talk about a balanced relationship between hunters and territory; an equally balanced relationship between resident and non-resident hunters; sustainable hunting and, in perspective, the overcoming of restocking; compulsory work performance as a solution to the generalized crisis of volunteering; mutual control as a remedy for present and future shortcomings in institutional and voluntary hunting surveillance; a different relationship between hunters and farmers at the basis of the protection of the social management of hunting; the territorial organization of small game hunters as an indispensable prerequisite for their real political hunting role.
