The agriculture minister Roberto Cingolani it has never met with great sympathy among environmentalists. Probably because it does not have any bad cards in the pocket from the profiles of birds or mammals "No longer endangered". Or maybe because being an engineer they feared he might base his actions on facts and not on ideology. If any doubts still existed, with his declaration on nuclear power and open criticism of the "Radical chic environmentalists" we think it just wiped it out. Yet his observations were motivated by a sincere concern about the climate crisis, aggravated precisely, as pointed out, by the mass of "extremist, ideological environmentalists, worse than the climate catastrophe towards which we are shot, if we do not do something sensible".
Climate aside, the reference is to a category of people we know well: those of "no" regardless; of the rejection of science in favor of philosophies; from the green utopias, which for decades have prevented not only the great works that the country would need, but also the minimal interventions of environmental management, from the cleaning of waterways to the control of alien species. We are pleased that Minister Cingolani has expressed what many citizens think and we hunters have been supporting for some time. Considering that we do not seem to use a rash or superficial statements, we ask ourselves, however, if this principle that he strongly expressed is considered by him to be applied to all the issues that his dicastery deals with. If this were the case, as we hope, it would be interesting and useful to understand why it is not, for example, applied to hunting.
A concretization of this line of thought, the facts and not the ideologies - a revolution compared to the "old" Ministry of the Environment - could have been achieved with the management plan of the turtle dove, against which instead they seem to have led the game the usual players. It would then perhaps be the case that Minister Cingolani, to whom all our esteem goes as expressed, would better explain it to the entire ministerial structure. Perhaps also making a check of the degree of respect for his thought by technicians and officials who depend on him. Because the "radical chic environmentalists" do not harm the country only in the energy field, but also - and not from today - in the equally important management of the environmental wildlife heritage (Source: Hunting Federation).
