The animal rights complaint against chef Carlo Cracco and his pigeon-based recipe presented during an episode of MasterChef is still talking and it could not be otherwise. The famous judge of the reality of Sky has collected the sword defense by Federfauna, the trade union confederation that brings together breeders, traders and animal keepers. According to what the association pointed out in an official note, MasterChef is a beautiful television broadcast, also and above all because it tends to enhance the food and wine productions of our country, including pigeons. Among Federfauna members you can also find breeders of these birds and the criminal complaint of theAIDAA it made her nose turn up a lot.
The animal rights activists who took it out on Cracco spoke of the pigeon as a wild animal and, consequently, protected by the law. Federfauna's statement was released to clarify that the bird is not a wild animal at all, unlike what must be said instead for the wood pigeon (often we tend to confuse them): the pigeon is an animal that is raised with a lot of passion and Italy is no less from this point of view.
The Confederation intervened to reiterate that Cracco did not commit any type of crimeindeed, his recipe had a very different effect. As happens with other food preparations in the program, in fact, the chefs try to make the most of Italian products, both animal and vegetable. Here because Federfauna is convinced that the denunciation of the association led by Lorenzo Croce is simply a useful strategy to obtain more visibility than it would be necessary: in practice, the fact of having attacked Cracco is considered a means of obtaining a few more donations, a solution that normally never fails that will hardly be able to turn into a real judicial proceeding against the Venetian chef.
However, the federation, which has its official headquarters in Bologna, has not ruled out the hypothesis that the complaint may have a follow-up: if this hypothesis were to become reality, Federfauna said it was ready to publicly offer Cracco the assistance of its lawyers. The suspicion of an exaggerated and "inflated" action has occurred to many: Croce, president of AIDAA is not new to such striking initiatives which are then destined to deflate, the impression that this time too can happen the same is strong, but updates and developments are expected.
