Umbrian hunting federation, representing and protecting the entire regional hunting world, has recently formulated the following requests to the Region, aimed at a more correct relationship between figure of the hunter and institutions:
- With regard to the new regional wildlife-hunting plan, Federcaccia claims the central role of hunting associations. This role is fundamental for the management and implementation of the new Plan, and must be recognized in compliance with the provisions of the national framework law 157/92, which delegates the wildlife management of the territorial hunting areas "to hunting, agricultural, environmental associations and representatives of local authorities". Therefore we claim a permanent table in the Region, to discuss issues related to hunting and the management of wildlife
-We ask for a certain deadline, a fixed recurring date every year, for the submission of applications relating to the temporary areas of respect, restocking and capture areas and other institutes that provide for the temporary ban on hunting activities, in order to avoid sudden tables when the season is already in progress. We also ask for a network of areas forbidden to hunting that is homogeneous, clear and managed by hunters.
-We assume that there is uniformity of agreements between grantors (Region and Atc) and conductors of the restocking and capture areas as well as of the temporary areas of respect, in such a way that from Città di Castello to Calvi dell'Umbria is treated equally in all three regional ATCs. In particular for the three Umbrian areas, we ask for uniformity of their statutes.
-About the vigilance, we ask for the establishment of two provincial coordinators of the voluntary guards of the various associations, for a correct protection of the fauna and fish heritage
-A separate chapter deserves the boar: we expect within a reasonable time the drafting of a management plan of this kind that is in step with the times, that gives certain numbers and not those of the lotto. In this regard, Federcaccia Umbra appeared ad adiuvandum in the appeal promoted by the boar hunting teams falling within the territorial hunting area Perugia 1, dated October 2018 and still today. waiting to be discussed. We have said and reiterated it several times: in our opinion it makes no sense to increase the costs of registering teams without serious planning of the territory and its wildlife resources. The 2015 agreements, which set the contribution that each wild boar hunting team had to pay at 250 euros, to participate in the operating costs of this form of hunting, were breached by the ATC Pg1 last year, with an increase of 25 for each hunter. This year the surplus fell by 15 euros, settling at 10: a request, however, without any technical basis, in the face - moreover - of a reduction plan that last season proved to be excessive by at least 40% of the garments. If you have to put your hands in the pockets of hunters, you have to do it only for targeted projects, for the good of the hunting world and biodiversity. But without planning we do not tolerate such bullying and, therefore, we have formed alongside the teams in the appeal against the Atc Pg 1.
- Always about wild boar huntingfinally, Federcaccia Umbra asks for the normalization of the allocation of sectors, through a system that remains valid for at least three, if not five seasons, in order to limit conflicts between the various teams.
