As announced by the association ANUUMigrators, the month of October developed according to an ornithological calendar perfectly in line with the weather conditions and the various phases of the moon allowing for an interesting migration for Song Thrush, Robin, Coal Tit, Blackcap, Chaffinch, Bramble and Wood Pigeon and, numerically positive, also for Frosone, Siskin, Blackbird and Redwing.
The month of November, however, so far characterized by bad weather with persistent rains from north to south of the peninsula and with anticipated heavy snowfalls in the high mountains and tides above the seasonal average - as happened for the city of Venice - except on days 12 and 13, did not have interesting movements, if not localized.
In this scenario, Cesene and Tordi sasselli have been observed, but not in abundant quantities. Also last year the same conditions in the same period. We hope for a quick return of good weather that can give a more lively tone to migration, which has slowed down a lot in the last decade.
