The Minister of the Interior, Matteo Salvini, was unbalanced on the timing of the approval of the law on self-defense. The Northern League leader was in Cagliari to meet the new governor of Sardinia, Christian Solinas, and spoke precisely of this topic. According to him, the text will become official by next March, also because it will soon be discussed in the House and next week will be decisive for the green light.
For the Deputy Prime Minister, therefore, the postponement of a week of the discussion has no meaning. Salvini was very clear, he did not like the position taken by theNational Association of Magistrates against the law and the declarations of the ANM have been defined "of an absolute gravity". According to the president of the association, the reform of the legitimate defense is useless and already would be abundantly regulated in our system.
Certainly there is confusion if another minister, that of the Public Administration, also wanted to express his opinion. For Giulia Bongiorno the law does not mean that investigations would be avoided, the text does not provide for it and the judiciary will be called to verify on a case-by-case basis. All that remains is to wait for the next few days to find out more about the developments of the standard.
