Arch Hunting published the letter sent by a aspiring passionate Florentine hunter, which unfortunately is suffering from that terrible disease that is multiple sclerosis. His greatest desire would be to be able to fully enter the ranks of the gods followers of Diana, but unfortunately, despite his conditions are good, so much so that he drives the car quietly, the license remains for him a chimera. The Arci Caccia Legal Department is looking into the matter. Here is the text: "Hello, my name is Vittorio Miniati, I am 40 years old and I have a passion for hunting.
I come immediately to my problem: at the age of 16 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, fortunately it is second level so it allowed me a fairly regular and normal life in his daily life. When I was 25 I decided to undertake an experimental and invasive therapy: to do autologous bone marrow transplantation with stamina cells. Up to this age I was aware that they would not give me a license to fire and I never asked for it, I just followed my father with his friends on their wandering hunting trips with the dog. I am not telling you my envy in seeing them to be able to carry out their passion.
In short, after 12 years from the transplant with a more than positive outcome and taking confidence in myself, I decided to take the Hunting Practice by enrolling in the Federcaccia courses at the section of Scandicci (Florence). But once the latter was achieved, I got a blow between the head and the neck: the Legal Medical Commission denied me the firearms license, giving me unclear reasons. I have no problem standing, I have no motor deficits that prevent safety in handling a weapon, I have no psychophysical problems, I have no mental problems, I do not use drugs or alcohol, I am not a criminal, I have no hearing problems, I do not use psychiatric drugs but for 2 years (2018 and 2019) declared me ineligible.
In 2018 the reason was that I had used psychotropic drugs, which is true, but part of the transplant preparation prophylaxis and which I also explained were all prescribed by the Professor who performed the transplant; in 2019 when I presented myself with my coroner, the answer was “presence of neurological alterations that can interfere with static / walking / motor skills and initial spatial memory deficit”! This humiliated me, made me feel helpless.
It is well known that there is a propensity to give as little firing capacity as possible due to animal rights activists, environmentalists, wwf, etc .., etc ... but if we put it into law, according to the decree of 28 April 1998 of the ministry of health, I should be eligible considering the fact that the only reason for my non-suitability seems to be MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS and what is in no way taken into consideration I had to suffer for stop and even reverse the latter. I apologize for this outburst of mine but my purpose in contacting you was to be able to make my story public and to be able to know if there may be some action to be taken that gives me back hope; I feel DISCRIMINATED and humiliated in the face of words that accuse me of "guilt" that I do not have, preventing me from the pleasure of a passion: hunting! ".
