HIT Show 2017. Inauguration of international exhibition of hunting, sport shooting and personal defense in Vicenza under the Olympic sign, bringing on the catwalk some of the athletes of the Italian shooting team, absolute protagonists of the Rio 2016 Olympic competitions.
Discipline that has always seen the Azzurri protagonists, in 2016 the Skeet shooting broke all records at the Rio Olympics: both as a national team with the highest number of qualified athletes, and as a number of medals won, with two gold medals by Diana Bacosi and Gabriele Rossetti and three silver by Giovanni Pellielo, Marco Innocenti and Chiara Cainero , to which are added the two gold medals by Niccolò Campriani in target shooting.
A sporting success that becomes even more important if we consider that 13 of the 15 medals awarded in Rio 2016 were obtained by athletes equipped with Italian-made weapons or ammunition. This time it was Beretta that took the lion's share, with 4 golds, 4 silvers and two bronzes, taking up the baton that in London it had belonged to another Italian brand, Perazzi, who returned from Rio with 3 medals.
After the inaugural catwalk in the morning, today Saturday 11 February, from 14.00 to 14.30 the Olympic champions will be at the Beretta stands 420 and 520 in Hall 7 for a pleasant meeting with the passionate public.
The vast Italian Shooting Federation has 420 active companies in Italy and 21 registered athletes. A growing figure, both for the positive effects of the Olympic successes and for the promotional activity that has been carried out in recent years. The latest example in chronological order is the "NeoFitav" project, carried out in collaboration with the University of Urbino and Anpam (National Association of Arms Manufacturers), which in a year has made it possible to approach about 1 million Italians, and to bring the first time at the shooting range 2 potential new athletes. The NeoFitav project will be at the center of a conference entitled "Achievements and perspectives for the development of skeet shooting in Italy", scheduled as part of Hit Show 2017 on Saturday 11 February at 15 pm (Hall 8.1, Canova room) .
At HIT SHOW there will therefore be athletes Giovanni Pellielo, Diana Bacosi, Chiara Cainero, Marco Innocenti, Massimo Fabbrizi, and the very young Jessica Rossi, world record holder thanks to the 99 targets out of 100 hit at the London 2012 Olympic gold medal. the coach of the National Skeet team and multiple Olympic champion Andrea Benelli.
