Hunting and Fauna: ANUU Migratoristi presents an interesting scientific / genetic study on the White-Collared Teal.
The Civic Museum of Natural History of Jesolo (VE), together with that of Carmagnola (TO), in collaboration with the FEM2-Ambiente laboratory of the Bicocca University of Milan, are conducting an interesting scientific and genetic study on the presence of a collar white in some individuals of Teal (Anas crecca). Currently there are only four individuals recovered, in addition to reports, data and photographs of embalmed subjects in historical periods, but the museums associated in this research hope to recover at least a dozen to have a series of reliable data that can answer, in summary, if these are subjects that belong to a specific Palearctic population and geographical area or whether it is only a morphological characteristic linked to genetics. The structures, therefore, have taken steps to warn all those who work in the natural world to send them other interesting subjects.
These data, together with their supplier, will be cited in the scientific publications that will be drawn up. To find out more and to provide information on this, contact the Civic Museum of Natural History of Jesolo (VE) by e-mail: [email protected].
