In the morning today the new Wildlife Hunting Plan of the Province of Arezzo was presented, confident the President of the Province on the collaboration between hunters and farmers.
During the provincial programmatic conference held today, 30 May 2012, in the Sala dei Grandi of the Province, the new Wildlife Hunting Plan of the Province of Arezzo was presented with the positive appreciation of the numerous participants. The new hunting management document sets the lines of future development for the sector, addressing some of the problems concerning environmental protection and wildlife management.
The President of the Province of Arezzo, Roberto Vasai explained, “The plan addresses complex problems, to which we must all give an answer together. In this sense, dialogue with the environmental world is fundamental. I believe that when it comes to the environment it is necessary to have a non-ideological approach, but a serious and constructive one. In recent years, in this area, we have shown that hunting is one of the indispensable tools for governing the territory. Let's take note of this and move on ”.
Continuing, Vasai said, “Is it? It is evident, however, that the hunting world must in turn be able to grasp the signs of change and adapt. Today we need greater attention to certain critical situations affecting some species of birds and the awareness that we must adapt our regulations to the standards that Europe asks of us ”.
In conclusion, President Vasai asserted “I am convinced that we have the technical skills, the human resources, the environmental resources to achieve the objectives we have before us. And, I still want to believe that hunters and farmers can find a way to combine their energies to defend the values and economy of an increasingly fragile and defenseless rural world ”.
The new Wildlife Hunting Plan will be approved by the Provincial Government in the session of the next 18 June and will be subject to observations in the following 60 days.
