Is the manipulation of the Italian “hunting reality” the result of the need to maintain certain privileges on the skin of animals? The question arises more than legitimate ... because the picture represented by our animal rights activists is very different from reality, "denouncing" aspects that, without making improvements to the condition of animals, distract the commitment of the institutions from the real problems of the country and of the citizens to whom difficulties are not lacking! Thus it is kept silent that the question under discussion does not concern the hunting with nets, banned in Italy for the same choice of hunters, as opposed to what happens in other areas of the Union whose institutions, however, strangely, are not accused by the European Commissioners. On the recalls, the Italian hunting world has placed itself before "green animalism" the issue of infringement procedures to regulate with more stringent and rigorous rules, and with the endorsement of the scientific institutes of the State, the possibility of limited catches and controlled using tools, or nets, identical to those used by those same Institutes for research purposes, precisely because they are not detrimental to the welfare of the birds captured.
The animal rights ideology was revealed, on this occasion, in all its virulence to mortify the initiative approved by Parliament for the qualification, increasingly supported by knowledge, of our rural traditions. Beyond and in a much more profound and worrying way the subject of the last days of shouted and aggressive campaigns, this animalism is a concrete problem for the country, for the very economy of our "countryside" and our seas. Perhaps the next step of the "executioners" of the environment will be the abolition, to stay on the subject of nets, of those for fishing, while no worries already pose the increasingly heavy consequences of the devastating work of the otters on the banks or the repercussions on autochthonous species of the alien ones that Europe itself asks to eliminate, while we are strongly defended by them.
That of the references is an emblematic question of this way of thinking and acting due to the instrumental importance that has been attributed to it, disproportionate to the persistence over any reasonable thought in the face of the real tragedies of the environment and of the territory that our country alive and that after a fleeting media passage are soon forgotten. The Italians have regularly "rejected" these provocateurs, who also reach the parliamentary seats thanks to the blocked lists. It would finally be time for the consequences for the general interests of the country to be understood.
The occasion of the law under discussion in the Senate is useful for the hunting world to continue building a solid critical conscience for a new and valid environmental policy of government, constructive and productive. We will continue to discuss with other citizens, with farmers, with the "people" who do not cry out and who work for the good of Italy in thousands of local communities, creating the economy and positive effects for the whole of society.
Hundreds of assemblies are underway, of local petitions in small and large countries which, we hope, the institutions will be able to listen to. Ours is a different "style" of life that does not provoke and does not accept provocations. It is to politics, to the one that wants to give concreteness and wisdom, and above all to restart Italy in a concrete way, that it is up to give a coherent answer to these gentlemen. Not only hunters are expecting it.
