At the Basilicata Region, the Third Council Commission discusses, among other issues, the registration in the regional ATCs.
The III Permanent Council Commission "Productive Activities, Territory and Environment" of the Basilicata Region met yesterday morning, November 29, 2011, under the chairmanship of Councilor Romaniello to discuss some issues including registration in the ATC of Basilicata.
The councilor for Productive Activities of the Province of Potenza, Nicola Figliuolo, was heard on the matter, who represented that "the agro-forestry-pastoral area of the Province of Potenza where hunting is allowed is about 300 thousand hectares spread over three ATCs".
The commissioner continues, "The hunting density must meet the index of a hunter for every 19,21 hectares of available area, therefore, a total of 15 hunting permits can be issued in the Province of Potenza. In total, between the provinces of Potenza and that of Matera, there are 7.048 hunters so it is assumed that in the provincial area about eight thousand cards could be issued to hunters outside the Region, divided proportionally for each ATC ”.
Furthermore, Figliuolo specifies, “The implementing regulation of Regional Law 2/85, on the other hand, establishes in article 8 that in the calculation of the accesses, the ATCs must take into consideration all the hunters of the regional territory. Considering 100 thousand hectares for each ATC, it can be deduced that in each area around 5 thousand hunting permits can be issued for which hunters not resident in the region could not obtain the permit ".
Finally Figliuolo concludes by underlining, “This is the reasoning behind the Regional Council Resolution n.725 / 2007 revoked, then, last September. Hence the need for a clarification act that simplifies the calculation system for ATCs".
In conclusion of the works the president Romaniello, has undertaken to convene the sector councilors of the two provinces of Potenza and Matera in order to be able to set up a working group for a possible regulatory change.
