Hunting: Calabria, approved the hunting calendar valid for the 2014-2015 season. It starts on 21 September but pre-opening is scheduled for 7 and 14 September.
A little quietly, the Calabrian regional council approved the new one in the session of last July 14th Hunting Calendar valid for the 2014-2015 Hunting Season as proposed by the councilor for agriculture Michele Trematerra. According to the text of the new Calabrian Hunting Calendar, the general opening of hunting is scheduled for the third Sunday of September, 21 September 2014 but two pre-opening days are planned on 7 and 14 September exclusively for the Tortora and Colombaccio species exclusively with the stalking mode.
Game bag limits are set by the new Hunting Calendar, including one Common hare per hunter and hunting day for a maximum of 5 animals per hunting season; two Pheasants (of which only one female), per hunter and per hunting day for a maximum of 10 animals per hunting season; 20 Foxes, 20 Gray Crows, 10 Jays and 20 Magpies, per day of hunting. Regarding the Boar the maximum game bag provided is 12 daily heads per team. For migratory game there are 25 animals per hunter and hunting day, with the limit of: 5 Turtledoves for a maximum of 20 seasonal animals, 5 Quails for a maximum of 25 seasonal animals, 3 Woodcocks, only 2 in the period between January 01, 2015 and January 19, 2015, with a maximum of 20 seasonal items.
The training and training of hunting dogs is allowed not only in the special Dog Training Areas - ZAC - according to the respective regulations, but also in the ATC territory intended for hunting activities. The training and training of pointing, hunting and following dogs is allowed on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 16 August to 20 September 2014, except for the days of 7 and 14 September.
