Hunting in Piedmont. The Piedmontese hunting world, represented by the writing Associations recognized (Law 157/92), expresses bewilderment and profound disappointment at the incomprehensible decision taken by the Regional Council of ban the hunting of ptarmigan, hare variable ed lark throughout the territory of the Piedmont Region.
All this happened just as the regional hunting law was presented in the same offices, almost in contempt of the desire previously declared by the Councilor to seek agreements and collaboration with the hunting world, but especially in absolute disregard of the most elementary democratic rules and rules of transparency, thus demonstrating the Piedmontese political class to ignore three sentences of the Regional Administrative Court, which had declared the hunting of ptarmigan entirely legitimate.
Thus continues the unfortunate Piedmontese season, inaugurated last year with limitations and bans in bursts for subalpine hunters, unique in all of Italy, and always characterized by the absence of a true democratic confrontation with the hunting world, as well as by the lack of consultation on aspects fundamentals of the management of the territory of our Region.
The recognized Hunting Associations, representing the vast majority of Piedmontese hunters, clearly distance themselves from this bizarre method of managing the matter, announcing that nothing will be left unturned to heal the very serious vulnus of democracy produced by the decision of the Giunta, and using for all this, any instrument made available to us by laws and regulations, arriving, if considered indispensable or necessary, to request protection in the appropriate places.
Piedmontese hunters deserve respect, and we will soon call them together to ask for it all together, with strength and a single voice.
