The favorable opinion
The Third Commission of the Legislative Assembly, chaired by Eleonora Pace, gave a unanimous favorable opinion on the "2023-2024 Season Hunting Calendar Proposal", which governs in detail huntable species and related periods, bans, hunting days, hunting days , game bags, stalking, hunting in mountain passes and in special protection areas, card for hunting, species control, hunting residence, natural parks and contiguous areas.
A calendar similar to that of the last season
Before the approval, as requested by the councilor Valerio Mancini (Lega), the representatives of the hunting associations were heard in hearing, who essentially expressed their appreciation for a calendar very similar to that of last season.
One more request
A further request on hunting by way of derogation for the pigeon, starling and collared dove species and some observations on better regulation of the coexistence of the various forms of hunting (selective, hunted or single) should be recorded. At the end of the hearing, Mancini introduced the theme of simplification of the regulations for the various qualifications: "the training of hunters is right but one cannot expect to have to obtain a diploma for each species - he said - therefore I invite the associations to send their proposal for simplification to the commission, as was done in Veneto” (source: Umbria Region).
