Hunting: Umbria, the Regional Faunal Hunting Council met to discuss the contents of the new 2013/2014 Hunting Calendar and the reform of the ATCs.
Yesterday afternoon, March 27, 2013, the Regional Councilor for Hunting, Fernanda Cecchini, convened the Regional Faunal Hunting Council at the headquarters of the Department in Perugia, in order to discuss the contents of the new Hunting Calendar valid for the 2013 Hunting Season. -2014 and a reform of the regional hunting areas together with the representatives of the hunting, agricultural and environmental associations as well as the representatives of the ATC and the institutions.
Introducing the topics on the agenda, the commissioner Cecchini made a comparison with the trend of the past hunting season, "The 2013-2014 hunting calendar will be prepared on the basis of the one applied in the season just ended, continuing the path of sharing and participation that has characterized the drafting, also to evaluate any changes ". The shared opinion of the participants in the assembly concerns the preparation of a new 2013/2014 Hunting Calendar based on the one already used for the previous 2012-2013 hunting season, making the appropriate adjustments. In addition, it was agreed to allow the registration of new boar hunting teams in consideration of the settlement on the territory of the already existing ones.
During the meeting, the need emerged to change the legislation relating to the Territorial Areas of Hunting in order to also include other aspects of hunting, including the methods for hunting wild boar, the management of damage caused by wildlife and the containment of supernumerary species. Councilor Cecchini therefore, pledging to convene a new meeting of the Regional Wildlife Hunting Council shortly to discuss the ATC reform, announced, "In the next meeting I will illustrate a proposal to modify the regulation, based on the draft already discussed previously and updated to light of the observations and remarks made during the discussion ".
