Soldiers of the Forestry Carabinieri Station of Barberino of Mugello (FI), following a private report referring to the activities of hunting poaching, carried out a series of investigations near the municipal road of Via di Tignano which, from the town of Barberino di Mugello (FI), leads towards the localities Tignano and Casanuova. The military found the presence of a lace at an opening in a loose mesh fence, most likely created by the repeated passage of wild animals.
It was a lace made with iron wire, one end of which was firmly anchored to the fence and the other end was bent to form a ring, suitable for closing around the animal's neck at the moment of its passage. The military, after making the lace harmless and unsuitable after the capture of wild animals, they stalked near the place, until they identified a person who, proceeding on foot from the town of Barberino di Mugello, approached the area and after having inspected the snare, he proceeded to rearm it to make it effective.
This allowed the military to be able to challenge the individual identified, a citizen of Albanian origin, the crime provided for by the framework law on hunting, Law 157 of 1992, in particular for having hunted with an unauthorized means. The subject was reported to the Florence Public Prosecutor's Office
