Luca Braia, Councilor for Agricultural and Forestry Policies of the Basilicata region, will take part in the presentation of the course for selecontrollers which was organized by the Territorial Area of Caccia Potenza 2. In addition to the councilor, there will also be Giovanni Musacchio, number one of the same ATC, Lorenzo Bochicchio, general manager of the University of Basilicata, and Graziano Scavone, mayor of Tito. Then there will be the teachers and experts of the course. As Braia explained, the training of hunters is one of the initiatives chosen by the Regional Department to cope with thewild boar emergency.
In this way the selecontrollers will increase, since at the end of these lessons there will be another 400 that will be enabled for the controlled collection of ungulates. There are more than 1460 those already trained in recent years by Basilicata and the Area, without forgetting the 360 qualified by the Provinces of Potenza and that of Matera, and the 36 of the Gallipoli Cognato Park. Hunters will learn important technical and scientific knowledge for the census and the control of the wild: they will also operate in protected areas and in the periods in which the hunting ban is in force.
