They sacrificed their lives to help a motorist in distress. The heroic deed of Antonio DeFeo e Carmine Molisse will remain forever imprinted not only in the history of our Serino but also in that of Federcaccia Campana of which they were both active members. Last night to remember them and dedicate to them the section ofUpper Saturday Valley, inaugurated in the former primary school of Canale di Serino, many met together with family members, friends and hunters.
Attending the inauguration, together with the mayor Vito Pelosi and the municipal administration, was the honorable Maurizio Petracca. The Vice President of the Agriculture, Hunting and Fishing Commission of the Campania region, in the course of his speech, underlined the sensitivity of mind and the gesture made by Antonio and Carmine to whom the provincial president of Avellino della Federcaccia, Antonio Matarazzo, that of Salerno, Luigi Spera, and the new head of the local section, Giovanni Del Vecchio have also spent words of eternal gratitude (source: Hunting Federation).
