In recent days, Giancarlo Ippoliti, president of the Circolo Arci Caccia of Pereto (province of L'Aquila), in a selection hunting trip he shot down a decidedly exceptional garment. It is a hybrid boar crossed with pig: the weight was equal to 285 kilos, therefore almost three quintals. Ippoliti is also the hunting chief of the Cinghialai Monte Midia Team and a member of theTerritorial area of hunting Rovereto Carseolano.
The same hunting association has defined this event as an act of great importance for the conservation in purity of the wild boar species, as written in a note sent to the member by the Abruzzo ATC. It is active throughout the territory of the Area hunting by selection in the wild in compliance with the regional regulations and other provisions relating to Tagliacozzo, Carsoli and Civitella Roveto. The ATC is included in the agro-forestry-pastoral territory of the “Roveto-Carseolano” wildlife area with a very precise delimitation.
Starting from Monte Faito follow the regional borders that pass through the municipalities of Sante Marie, Carsoli, Oricola, Rocca di Botte, Cappadocia, Castellafiume, Capistrello, Canistro, Civitella Roveto, Morino and S. Vincenzo Valle Roveto up to an altitude of 1748. From this point following the municipal boundaries of San Vincenzo Valle Roveto, Civita d'Antino, Civitella Roveto, Canistro, Capistrello, Scurcola Marsicana, Tagliacozzo and Sante Marie you arrive at the starting point Monte Faito.
Once the wild boar of the Maremma Toscolaziale weighed a maximum of 100/120 kilograms, today with the crossings with the wild boar of eastern Europe (ATTILA) they reach these weights, these specimens did NOT arrive alone with minibuses from Romania or Moldova !!!
