What is happening in the Marshes of Fucecchio has given rise to hunting associations. After the joint note of Arci Caccia and Free Hunting, also the Federcaccia of Pistoia has decided to have its say on the subject. WWF has organized an anti-poaching camp in this area of Tuscany and, as pointed out by the president of the association Frank Biagini, hunters are the first to know how important the Padule is from a naturalistic and biodiversity point of view.
The free and year-round commitment of the hunting world (in exchange for a few days of hunting) guarantees the hospitality of this territory for both the sedentary and migratory aquatic fauna. The wetlands stolen from hunters in favor of animal rights activists, on the other hand, are currently in a state of neglect. Federcaccia Pistoia recalled his constant presence in the Padule territory with his own guards who avoid any type of offense: hunters are just the bulwark against poachers, consequently Biagini said he was more than in favor of controls, but without hostile and presumptuous ideologies.
On the other hand, throughout the European continent, hunting is considered a more than valid example of environmental and wildlife management. Confusing hunting with poaching ends up souring spirits and encouraging certain press campaigns. FIDC Pistoia will provide all the collaboration needed to respect the law and protect the Marshes.
