Hunting: Massa Carrara, ATC 13 replies to Libera Caccia on the proposal, made during the recent conference held at the Terrarossa Castle, to create Rationalization Areas for Hunting Sampling.
Filippo Merlini, President of the ATC MS 13 Committee, in a note, for the record and for correct information, reminds all his hunters that “The Territorial Hunting Area has not really invented anything; among its tasks (as defined by art 12 of LRT3 / 94), on territories or areas with specific environmental or faunistic characteristics, the ATC - explains the President, Filippo Merlini, replying to the Free Hunting Association which had contested the hypothesis of creation of areas for rationalization of hunting - it may include rationalization actions ".
"Anyone who attended the conference held at the Terrarossa Castle on March 2 or read the press or visited the website www.atc13ms.it it will certainly be clear - continues the President - that the Sector to date has only come to define technically and not by hearsay that, in our provincial territory, there are nine hypothetical sites with satisfactory characteristics such as to be able to think of a new experimental path of management. This is clearly different from what was said by the provincial president of Libera Caccia, an association represented in the current Management Committee of the Area, and therefore informed by its representative, that within the Committee there has never been an agenda aimed at establishing and even less the regulation of these areas ".
"Soon - Merlini says - will begin the phase of the debate with all the provincial hunting associations, only at the end of the meetings, if the majority of the provincial hunters will see these areas as a new frontier of management, it will be possible to concretely think about their implementation".
