Rome, June 14th - Maurice Zipponi, born in 1954, he was appointed President of CNCN (National Hunting and Nature Committee) by the Shareholders' Meeting of last 10 June. Zipponi, expert in industrial policies, business internationalization and labor law, has been President of the UNA Foundation (Man, Nature, Environment) since 2019, in which he joined in 2016 and, as President of the Scientific Committee, signed in the same year with the Ministry of the Environment a protocol for good practices and the protection of biodiversity. He has been a consultant to leading industrial and financial groups and since 2019 he has held the role of Senior Advisor for Banca Intesa in relation to large national industrial projects, including the restructuring of the former ILVA.
Zipponi intends to place the theme of sustainability at the center of its mandate to be developed through planning, institutional and scientific actions which, also with the involvement of figures with proven political and institutional experience and professionalism, will allow the entire sector to make a further "Green shot".
The focus of his contribution to CNCN will be to implement, also through an incisive dialogue with the political world, with that of national and European associations (hunting, agricultural, ecological) and in full synergy with the growth of the UNA Foundation, concrete projects that lead to the dissemination of scientific knowledge of hunting, of its relationship with the environment, of the figure of the hunter, overcoming stereotypes and prejudices, in the context of an open confrontation between the different parties.
With the aim of strengthening the relationship between the world of hunting and the territory, projects will be developed in favor of the protection of resources and natural balances and partnerships will be strengthened with other players in the area, institutions, environmental and agricultural organizations and recognized hunting associations, also through the important mediation work of the control room of the hunting world.
"SI am honored to start my career as President of CNCN. Among my priorities there is certainly that of affirming the value of hunting in favor of environmental sustainability and the need for proper management of the territory together with the other stakeholders, spreading the figure of the hunter as Paladin of the Territory in full synergy with the values of the UNA Foundation - Zipponi declared at his appointment.
CNCN is one of the founding members of the UNA Foundation; Zipponi's presidency in both realities will therefore be useful to intensify the synergies between these two entities, which have a convergent vision on the future of the hunting world and on the objectives of safeguarding biodiversity.
