An eleven June to remember for Mauro de Filippis. At the Concaverde Trap in Lonato, the athlete of the gold flames broke everything, taking home both the gold and the silver cartridges, one destined for the best shooter with Fiocchi ammunition and the other for the best shooter ever among all participants. For the Italian national team, the balance at the end of the day was exceptional: only 1 of the 100 targets scheduled, considering those of the final, was pardoned. On the shields, together with him, also the very young Richard Faccani. Three prizes were obtained for Alfonsine's revelation, together with the conquest of the final: best junior athlete, first among the “first category” and third place among all Fiocchi shooters. For the 321 members it was a long day of shooting and shattered targets, but already in the early afternoon it was easy to guess who was the man to beat.
With De Filippis in a state of grace, the dreams of glory of the many champions who arrived on Lake Garda were, in fact, irremediably complicated. Only a zero, in the second series, and then the enplein in the final sealed the double and deserved victory. «I am very happy - declared the shooter from Taranto - This is the family competition for me and I wanted to do well. As for the technical aspect, I am very happy because, shortly, we will have some important selections. The test was really important. I am satisfied both for having honored the name of Fiocchi and for the result obtained ».
Together with Mauro, the famous wife, Jessica Rossi (72/75), who turned out to be the best of the Ladies, also won. The crystal cartridges, by qualification, were assigned as follows: Ernesto Bini Church for Veterans; Mario Simonato for the Masters and Richard Faccani for Juniors. For the categories, however, the best were: Mark Correzzola (excellence); Richard Faccani (1st category); Francesco Galvagni (2nd category) e Gianluca Macchi (3rd category). «It was a great success - confirmed Fiocchi's sales manager for Italy Francesco Gazzetta - On a national level, in the qualifications, we exceeded 4.550 members and today more than 800 participants poured into the three competition fields of the North, Center and South area for the finals of the Fiocchi day. We thank all those who made this event possible: the staff of Fiocchi, all the shooters and, specifically, the president of Trap Concaverde Ivan Carella, the shooting directors, the secretariat and the entire staff. It was a perfect day, the races were held with impressive punctuality. All that remains is to congratulate everyone again, organizers and athletes ». The next, very important appointment at Trap Concaverde will be the European universal pit championship, which will be staged as early as Thursday 15 June and will last until Sunday 18.
