Today, Tuesday 13 June 2017, the Regional Council of Veneto approved the hunting calendar as regards the 2017-2018 season. What has been specifically foreseen? First of all, the pre-opening will be allowed on 2, 3, 4, 9 and 10 September, more precisely in relation to hunting from stalking of blackbirds, turtle doves, jays, magpies and crows. September 17, 2017 is the official date of the official opening, while the closure was set for January 31, 2018: obviously there will be differences based on the species to be killed.
One of the most interesting examples is that of gray partridges, pheasants, quail and wild rabbits, available from September 17th to December 31st of this year. For the hunt for the lark it will be necessary to wait until October 1st (until the end of the year), while the period September 17th-January 20th is the one chosen for woodcock and song thrush. For aquatic animals such as mallard, coot, teal, pochard and whisk, you can go hunting from September 17 to January 31 next year, while for the white hare, the ptarmigan, the black grouse and the rock partridge it will start on October 1st and end on November 30th. A separate discussion deserves it hunting ungulates.
The collection of fallow deer, alpine chamois, roe deer, red deer and mouflons is authorized by provincial regulations, based on territory in which the fauna area falls: for wild boars, reference must be made to DGR 2088 of 2010 and subsequent amendments. Finally, the game bags will be distinguished on the basis of sedentary and migratory game: in the first case 2 animals can be killed per day for a maximum of 35 seasonal animals, in the second the daily animals will be 25 (20 larks, 10 quails, 10 gadgets, 10 lapwings, 10 pintails, 5 tufted duck and 5 fighters).
