Last week the Mugello was the setting for an interesting initiative by Confederation of Tuscan Hunters and Provincial Federcaccia of Florence. In collaboration with CEDAF (Environmental and Faunistic Education and Didactics Center), the Abbadia di Moscheta hosted a seminar dedicated to various activities, specifically the problems relating to wild boar hunting and the wildlife management of the species.
The works then concluded with a ungulate game based lunch, as well as zero kilometer, cooked with wisdom and presented by the managers of the typical restaurant. The application of the Objective Law and the new dedicated areas occupied the afternoon. The two associations contested the method used by the Tuscany Region to choose these areas for wild boar picking. The critical issues are different and none of the comments made seem to have been accepted.
The data of the Territorial Areas of Hunting Florence 4 and 5, then, they highlighted what's wrong with the Objective Law. There was no reduction in damage, as well as the containment of the ungulate populations. The signal from Moscheta was therefore very strong and clear: there will be new initiatives in the coming months and in the various provincial realities, in order to arrive at a unitary position to be presented.
