With the approval of the regional addresses, Palazzo Gentili is ready to define the new plan wildlife-hunting provincial, which will replace the current one, dating back to 1997. In order to arrive at a shared and completed text, the Province will start a series of meetings with all the subjects interested in the matter for various reasons, before the document is brought to provincial council for approval.
"The work done up to now - explains the councilor for Agriculture, hunting and fishing, Mario Trapè - is the result of the passionate commitment of the councilor, the manager, hunting associations, the technical-wildlife committee, the territorial areas of hunting, provincial councilors, but also individual hunters. A path that rewards discussion and consultation with all interested parties, including hunting associations and agricultural and environmentalist associations ". “The Province - continues the commissioner - has the task of preparing its own wildlife hunting plan, articulating it by homogeneous areas from the wildlife and environmental point of view, as well as defining the territorial structure of each area in terms of wildlife-hunting institutes. After the approval of the guidelines by the Region, we still have the opportunity to ask all interested parties to contribute to the definitive drafting of the plan, open an operational discussion as early as next autumn in order to arrive at the elaboration in a short time and face the debate and the approval of the provincial council ". "The new plan - continues Trapè - will be the programming tool for wildlife resources, defining the actions to be taken in order to ensure proper management of the wildlife through environmental requalification. This takes on particular importance, as Tuscia is a particularly valuable territory from a natural point of view, biodiversity and the integrity of the landscape. Also from a scientific point of view, the plan presents some ideas that can be considered innovative ".
