The City of Ghedi, in the province of Brescia, has decided to organize a training course particularly aimed at hunters and to farmers to become voluntary wildlife operators. The goal is to deepen the main issues related to otters and their presence in this part of Lombardy. The operators will then be involved in the provincial eradication plan of rodents. The days chosen are two, namely that of 7 and that of November 14.
Lessons will always start at 20:30 and will end two hours later: the venue will be that of the Ghedi Council Chamber. Anyone interested in obtaining this qualification can formalize enrollment by Friday 11 November by filling in the form made available at the Ecology Office of the Municipality. Alternatively, it is possible to download the document from the website of the Lombard municipality, returning it filled in and with the required attachments to the certified e-mail address. This is only the latest of the initiatives of the Municipality of Ghedi to deal with the emergency represented by otters. For example, it was published a ban on the correct disposal of carcasses of culled rodents, a real "war" declared to the species that has been making a lot of talk at least since last summer.
