The process of reviewing the Tuscany Regional Law 3/94 on hunting activities, continues in the institutional offices. On the text recently approved by the Regional Council and currently being examined by the competent Council Commission chaired by the Director Gianni Anselmi, the consultations with the various interested parties took place today. Hunting associations, environmentalist world, farmers and ATC were able to represent to the Commission, evaluations, observations and proposals on the text before the final approval expected in the coming weeks by the Regional Council.
Marco Salvadori, president of the Federcaccia Tuscany, represented to the commission the position and the evaluations elaborated and shared by the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters. The path that sees us busy today is the result of a work started several months ago. A concerted effort strongly desired by President Rossi, who saw us engaged right from the start. Thanks also to the attention of the Regional Council we have reached a positive result for the hunting in Tuscany. A revision of the Regional Law on hunting which collects the indications contained in the final document by the Regional Conference of Braccagni.
In addition to the Law, other important qualifying elements such as the New Regional Hunting Wildlife Plan and the revision of the implementing regulations. Our proactive work presented in the various institutional tables leads us today to give a substantial positive judgment on the text. A step forward to improve the law also in terms of application, overcoming gaps and rigidity. A result that, however, comes belatedly compared to a legislature that it has seen us strongly committed to opposing a political-administrative philosophy which culminated in the approval of the Objective Law which prevented the achievement, from the point of view of reforms, of broader results than those currently under discussion. However, we detect a change of pace which goes in the right direction by putting ATCs at the center of the management system and which can be better developed in the next legislature.
In his speech Salvadori highlighted the need for a better reformulation of theart. 28 and more precisely of the organization delegated to the ATCs for carrying out the selection hunt for the Boar, in compliance with the real needs of safeguarding agricultural production. A reformulation that allows us to definitively overcome the spirit, the impositions and the specter of the now outdated Objective Law. Finally, it was recalled the need to review some parts relating to the formulation and management of sampling plans on other species of ungulates and a more precise redefinition of the criteria for the census, possession and use of live calls for hunting purposes. In the next few days, the final approval will be up to the Tuscan Regional Council.
