The Region of Sicily wastes time in vain and there is the risk of seeing the next Hunting Season canceled.
To sound the alarm is the Hon. Nino Beninati commenting on the Sicilian situation said: “Last call useful to fine-tune the hunting calendar; then, if the laxity of the Lombard government continues on this issue as well, the regional coffers will lose from five to seven million euros! ”.
Beninati, who has always been committed to the discipline of hunting in Sicily and related problems, continuing on the issue, explained that "the 2012 calendar has yet to be launched but to do so the Wildlife Plan must be approved, which in turn is immobilized in the environment department. from which the impact assessment is expected. And the dog, not necessarily a hunting one, bites its own tail! ”.
Another cause for concern for Beninati is the recent change of guard at the Agriculture and Territory departments as, the deputy affirms, "the institutional quagmire resulting from the continuous reshuffles in the government is turning into quicksand also for Sicilian hunters. which, continuing these crazy delays in the process, will end up not renewing the licenses. Failure to purchase the badges will lead to tax damage of up to seven million euros. Nothing good for the region's asphyxiated coffers! ”.
Recalling that the next hunting season should start as early as September 15st, Beninati points out that so that the entire process for the approval of the Hunting Calendar, including the evaluation in Commission III and the subsequent publication in the Official Gazette of the Sicily Region, should end by the deadline of June XNUMX, therefore, there would be "Ten days, barely time, in short: the hunters are warned".
