A few days after the approval of the ordinance signed by mayor of Portoferraio (LI) relating to municipal provisions on PSA, Hunting Federation considers it appropriate, for clarity towards its members and hunters, to reiterate, as already expressed, not to agree with the provision and therefore invites the Mayor to retrace his steps! Also the evaluations expressed by the President of the ATC 10 of the Tuscan Archipelago we are sure that they are the result of a reflection that is not sufficiently in-depth with respect to what appears to be the regulatory framework and the various institutional competences.
Just a few days ago, on the occasion of an important seminar on African swine fever organized in Tuscany by the Federcaccia and the various associations belonging to the CCT which saw the participation of authoritative exponents of the Tuscany Region, President Buconi in unison with Marco Salvadori, President of Federcaccia Toscana, reiterated the position of the Federation clearly and in no uncertain terms: "No to any isolated initiative and outside the ministerial and regional lines by local bodies and authorities ".
In Tuscany, a coordination structure between Ministry, Health Authorities and Region, for the management of the problem and for the necessary preventive actions and for the monitoring of the territory. The Tuscan hunting world is committed to guaranteeing its maximum contribution in terms of volunteering and active involvement, for the management of the problem, under the close coordination of the institutions in charge. No to forward escapes of any kind therefore. Given the situation and in the light of the difficulties that now beset the hunting world and the whole of society we believe it is necessary to recover a spirit of loyal collaboration between all the interested parties (source: Hunting Federation).
