Hunting with bow and arrow
AICA Sectoral Association of Archers Hunters of Federcaccia, responds to the controversy raised in the Liguria region following the expansion of the use of the bow for hunting ungulates. “Enough of lies and exploitation. There boar hunting with bow and arrow in the Ligurian territory it has always been allowed. The recent amendment to the legislation, approved by the Regional Council of Liguria, has only provided for the use of bows and arrows also in the selective control of other ungulates.
Act of poaching
Furthermore, the entry into force of the new amendment to the legislation can only take place after the adoption of an implementing regulation, which to date does not yet exist. The alleged fact reported yesterday by the media therefore appears to be an act of poaching, which as such must be reported to the competent authorities and which is evidently carried out with a crossbow, since the object found is a dart, which is only apparently similar to an arrow from arc.
Use of the crossbow
At the same time, we recall that the use of the crossbow for hunting is prohibited by national legislation, therefore the regrettable episode cannot in any way be attributed to an archer". Danilo Rosini, National President of AICA (source: Federcaccia).
